Hi! I’m Shanika.
I love sharing classroom finds for Canadian teachers and having fun with affordable style in the classroom.
am a certified teacher in BC, Canada.
Moving provinces was a whirlwind of new teaching acronyms, different assessments and reporting systems and to be honest, it required a complete mind shift.
During this time, I learned just how much value there is in organization and classroom systems that works for me.

Back to School
Setting up a new classroom means lots of fun new classroom finds to add to my room.
There are a few zones in my classroom that are essential for how I develop classroom community. The first is a cozy corner. The cozy corner can act as a quiet reading corner, a group work area and even a play area. The second zone is a math zone where I use it to develop math vocabulary and encourage math talk. The third zone is a student center. This helps keep my organized and also gives students a central location to find important information, permission forms, missed work etc.
